Dear Friends,

This week, four men prayed with me according to the pattern of Luke 18:13 & Romans 10:9.

The four men below came via the webinar system. It is not as personal as the one-on-one, but all I can do in light of the many seeking to hear about the resurrection. I am getting more familiar with the webinar system, and I presume the success rate will soon increase as I learn how to engage more personally, though I am addressing several at one time. Below, I copied what they wrote before our meeting. And they all prayed with me. We are setting them up in Bible study with a mentor, and they are in daily Bible reading.

This man is from the Netherlands:

“I believe that a man named Jesus Christ lived and died on the cross. I must confess though, that I still doubt the resurrection more often than not. I would love to learn more and be convinced of this, and hopefully find faith. I have seen a video online in which you invite people to email you regarding the resurrection of Jesus. Seeing as you are a well educated person, I was hoping you could help me see the light.”

This man is from Ireland:

“I want to believe in the physical resurrection of Jesus. The most convincing argument was Thich Nhat Hanh a Buddhist but for me a good Smaritian to our Christian faith who speaks about re manifesting like the cloud changing appearance to rain. He spoke this prayer Lord Jesus I know that you are there and that makes me very happy. I want to to be able to pray this prayer.”

This man is from Canada:

“Your message was shared with me, and I am curious of your understanding of this matter. I have had many in answered questions. I look forward to this time with you.

Grew up in a Christian home. Been in and out of churches most of my life. Seems very controlling and misunderstood by participants. I think the Bible has a lot of great things to say on how we should go about our lives. However humans have misunderstood, misinterpreted, misrepresented many of what I see as understandings of what his being said. Heaven and hell does not seem like a real thing. My biggest problem is if god knows everything, then he knew how I would understand this world view, and therefore I was created and destined for hell. Doesn’t sound like a loving god to me.”

The next man is from the Dominican Republic:

“I was once an atheist and later an agnostic. Today, I believe in Christ, while also understanding that faith does not exclude the rational pursuit of truth. My doubt does not come from rejection, but from recognizing my own ignorance and my need to understand. For a long time, I believed that even without a physical resurrection, Christ had already defeated death metaphysically through the impact of His life and message. However, I now understand that if the resurrection truly occurred, its implications radically transform our understanding of reality and of His other miracles. I am fully open to confronting that evidence. My path toward Christ began while searching for answers to the political, social, and human realities of our time. I ultimately found in Him the connection between my questions, action, direction, and clarity. The more I study His word and try to live by it, the more tangible the presence of God becomes to me.”

“And they will come from east and west and from north and south, and will recline at the table in the kingdom of God.” (Luke 13:29)

God bless,

Dr. James Tour
