Dear Friends,

This week one woman and three men prayed with me according to the pattern of Luke 18:13 & Romans 10:9.

The first is a man in his 40s, mechanical engineer, living in Ireland.

He wrote, “…could I find out more about the chemical validation of our Lord’s resurrection?… I suppose I’m wondering if Dr. Tour has some kind of insight into how the cells could conceivably do something like come back to life. I am getting closer and closer to the word, but it’s the bit after Jesus is resurrected that feels slightly more distant to me. When I hear the teaching and see how he carried himself through the crucifixion, I know in my heart that Jesus was telling the truth. To be honest, my overarching feeling is that it’s too good to be true that he came back.”

This is obviously a searching man. The chemistry and cells are not his real interests. He merely needs some evidence, and he will enter the kingdom. So we met, and he readily received the Lord. The chemistry and cells were never addressed. The realization and the prayer bring the change, and other issues lose their focus in comparison to the resurrection of the Son of God. He strongly agreed to follow through on the next phases: daily Bible reading and Bible study one-on-one with a mentor. He is in discipleship with Burt Brink.

The next is a man in South America in his 50s working in medicine and biochemistry. He wrote:

“Hi Dr James tour, …I need to believe in the resurrection to recover my Faith. Please help me if you can. I do appreciate your ministry and the way you spread the gospel to the whole world. God bless you, _______________”

We met. I discussed my testimony and the evidence for the resurrection, and he readily received and prayed aloud. When I asked if he would follow through on the weekly Bible study and daily reading, he replied, “Completely!” He was also committed to Burt Brink.

The third was a man in Canada in his 40s. A project manager. He wrote:

“Even if the resurrection can be proven DOES this validate the Bible and the story from Genesis to Revelation. God of the Bible requiring the murder and blood of Jesus is very morbid and very convoluted to me to resolve issues with his creation. I would like to know how to reconcile the Bible narrative with what I consider a poor design by an incompetent God and a poor solution.”

He was told that my topic would be the resurrection of Jesus, and he agreed to that topic. I thought he’d be argumentative, but he was not. He readily received the word and prayed aloud. The power of the Gospel over the hearts of men is remarkable. He is committed to Chuck Lloyd for Bible study.

The woman, living overseas, in her 40s, wrote, in part:

I recently watched an interview with Dr Tour and Professor John Lennox where I came across his invitation to a conversation with anyone who doesn’t believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ…After listening to hours of professor Lennox, I realise that although I desperately want to believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, I dont know that I do. How can I justify it to myself? I await you response, _______________

This poor woman has been through much with a very difficult marriage, drifting into Mormonism and then out of it, and much more. Barbara Lloyd and I met with her, shared, and she prayed aloud with us. She is excited to begin on this new reading program and Bible study with Barbara.

Bottom Line: the Gospel works. It is God’s message to humankind; it addresses the human condition of sin. It knows no national borders and receives all who come seeking.

Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.
Luke 24:47 ....and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations...

God bless,

Dr. James Tour
