Dear Friends,

This week one man prayed with me according to the pattern of Luke 18:13 & Romans 10:9.

The man is a retired science teacher living in the UK, having taught ages 11 to 18. He explained to me that he is a devoted Roman Catholic who attends Catholic mass regularly, believes in God, but does not believe in the resurrection, yet wishes that he could believe in it. As soon as I heard that he wished to believe, I knew he would receive. He has faithfully served by giving to and helping the poor as part of his Catholic service, but he refrained from ever teaching spiritual matters because he felt hypocritical, knowing he did not believe in the essential: the resurrection of Christ. He never even told his faithful Catholic wife and family about his unbelief. This week, he went to confession and told the priest he did not believe in the resurrection, and that he had an appointment to speak with a scientist, Dr. James Tour, about it. He said the confessional priest said that he knows of Dr. James Tour and was pleased to hear that this man and I would be speaking about such an important topic. It was nice to learn that his priest was aligned with me.

We met, and this retired schoolteacher received the message. After hearing about the historical evidence for the resurrection, he embraced the truth. He prayed aloud with me, to my great joy. I committed him to the daily reading starting in John, and the 13-week Bible study with Chuck Lloyd. He left beaming and thanking me profusely. He’s finally free! He no longer needs to live a secret life of unbelief.

Galatians 5:1
“It was for freedom that Christ set us free…”

God bless,

Dr James Tour
