Dear Friends,

This week two men prayed with me according to the pattern of Luke 18:13 & Romans 10:9.

The first is a college student who saw me when I spoke at Princeton University last spring. He wrote:

Dr. Tour, We met earlier this year at an event you held at Princeton University. I’m struggling with my beliefs, and I’m unsure what to believe at this point. I don’t even know what I’m expecting, I suppose I’m just looking for some sort of sign.

I asked whether he believed in the physical resurrection of Jesus. He replied, “At this current moment, no, I don’t.”

So we met and he received the gospel message. I expected nothing else. My expectation is always high that the gospel message will be received. I have seen it work hundreds of times to change the hearts of the lost. I pray that this young man goes on to a career and Christian life where he can impact many for the Lord Jesus. He agreed to daily Bible reading, starting in John 1, and he is assigned to Chuck Lloyd for mentor assignment.

The next is a man in the northeast, working as a property manager. He and his sister, who watched my social media, had been having discussions regarding faith and the Bible, and she referred him to me for the gospel presentation. He wrote:

Good Morning, I do not believe that the resurrection is real but willing to listen. Thanks

We met. He is a man in his 40s and hardened by life. Somewhat cynical. But he listened carefully without interruption. At the end, he was immediately agreeable to prayer aloud. And I committed him to the daily reading of scripture and the weekly Bible study through an appointment by Chuck Lloyd. I pray that he follows through.

Pray that the Lord would give you a burning passion for souls. Pray for it, over and over again. Then you will begin to see salvations. You will start catching, not just fishing for, but catching men.

Luke 5:10
"…Do not fear, from now on you will be catching men."

God bless,

Jim Tour
