Dear Friends,
This week two people prayed with me according to the pattern of Luke 18:13 & Romans 10:9, and many more contacted me based on the Harvard video I posted last Sunday.
The first was a man who had contacted me in 2020 seeking help with his wife who was suffering with cancer. He now wrote,
Hi Dr Tour, I was just watching your most recent YouTube upload. I wrote to you some years ago, as you can see, about my wife’s glioma. She died last year. Until very near the end she felt the presence of God, but not at the end. She died not feeling God. As you can imagine I am struggling greatly, not with belief in the existence of God, but in believing that he is a loving God rather than a vivisectionist. You pose the question on YouTube, “do you believe in a physical resurrection”. I don’t. I don’t think Paul did either, or at least not in the sense of a resuscitation. That’s not a matter I’m hugely vexed by, but I would like to understand why you believe in a physical resurrection & perhaps what you mean by that. I want to find hope for my wife. Kind regards,
We met. I shared and he listened well. And prayed in the end with me, proclaiming the resurrection. I remain in contact with him.
The second is an 18-year-old young lady, a college student, with whom Miss Louise and I met . She wrote,
Hello Dr. Tour, My name is _____. I am a freshman at _________ University. I was born and raised in a Christian family, but I find my faith being greatly tested here, and even more, parts of the Bible I’ve always assumed were metaphorical I am now grappling with greatly as I’m being told they are in fact not. I want to believe but I find myself a skeptic now. My doubt is like weeds that grow back after a shower. I’ve heard you speak on two podcasts, “Maybe God” and “Science and God with Dr.G.” In each you have spoken with such conviction that you believe you can turn a skeptic into a believer. I hope this isn’t inappropriate but I really hope to hear from you, I really hope to be convinced as you are convicted you are able to do. I apologize for the imposition and either way I am so grateful for your time. Warmly, _____
We met and she readily received the message of truth with tears and she is in daily reading and Bible weekly study with Miss Louise.
Many contacted me regarding the Harvard video and my prayer at the end: https://youtu.be/JjljpWgEDH8
Example 1:
Dear Dr Tour, I watched your youtube video of the Harvard lecture and prayed with you. I’ve watched several of your videos as well. Thank you for your special work, and for sharing the Good News! Respectfully,

I caught your presentation on Utube at Harvard last month…took it all in. That was not my first introduction to your body of work and to your core beliefs.
That said, I must say that you are an answer to my decades of prayers that within my lifetime, the “life from a mud puddle” religion would be debunked.
I say this not to extol, but I see you as something of a contemporary “David vs. Goliath” figure. The truth you have researched and expound zing like precisely flung stones that hit the mark, much to the utter disarmament of today’s Philistines. The problem with Goliaths is that the bigger and the taller they are, the longer it takes them to fall. But in the Biblical account, I suspect Goliath was dead even before he hit the ground. So too, with today’s academic Goliaths whose armor you have penetrated. Not to further impose on your time, I am not given to writing to those of import, but I need to express to you that you are a Godsend to many.

Just to let you know I prayed with you after and during listening to your podcast. Thank you James. _______, from Wanaka/Sydney and a few other places. And I am on my way, and what a joyous and joyful way it is, and after such a long while in the wilderness. Thank you

Subject: I said the prayer and wept
Dr. Tour, I am a FedEx driver in Oregon. I listen to you on my earbuds fairly often and enjoy your commentary. You do not need to respond to me as I am already a believer. It’s that unbelief that I pray the Lord helps me with. On this particular day, 4/14, I pulled off the road and said the prayer while listening to your address at Harvard. Jesus is indeed Lord! Cheers to you sir, _______.
Psalm 126:6
He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed, shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.
God bless,
Jim Tour
