Dear Friends,

This week, one woman prayed with me according to the pattern of Luke 18:13 & Romans 10:9.

I met this woman at the college student lunch last Sunday. I did not have time to discuss the gospel with her during lunch since we had so many visitors, so I set up an appointment later in the week. She told me that she had come to the lunch once before, but I did not recall her visit. She works at the medical center and has also been attending English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at our church on Sundays. This was sufficient for me to know that she is likely ready to be saved: it was her second time coming to lunch, and ESL uses Bible materials to teach English, so she was sure to have been exposed to the concept of the faith in Jesus. I have some slides for sharing the gospel in English and her language, which helped when Barbara Lloyd and I met her on Zoom one evening. She readily received the gospel. We prayed aloud together according to the pattern noted above, and she will start in Bible study with Barbara. I also challenged her with the daily Bible reading. Lord, I pray she follows through.

Acts 13:48 “…and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.”

Romans 8:29 “Those whom He predestined, He also called…”
