Dear Friends,

This week one man prayed with me according to the pattern of Luke 18:13 & Romans 10:9.

I was contacted earlier this week by a woman who wanted to meet by Zoom. Barbara Lloyd and I agreed on a time with her, but she missed the appointment, leaving Barbara and I waiting for her on the Zoom call. She apologized, and we rescheduled with her for another evening, but she again did not show up on the Zoom call. She apologized again, and I offered her two more evenings upon which she could choose. I waited, but she chose neither. I will try to configure with her some other time if she is interested. The problem was that I had set aside so many evenings to meet with this woman, so I did not have any chance to set up meetings with others. On Sunday morning, today, I told the Lord about this problem and urged Him to send me someone today so I need not go an entire week without seeing a person give their life to Jesus. That would break my heart. And sure enough, when I came home from church, I had an email from a man saying that he wanted to meet. I confirmed whether he believed in the resurrection, and he wished that he could, but he did not have that faith. So, I offered him 4 pm today, he immediately accepted by email, we just met, he gave his life to Jesus in prayer with many tears. I fell on my knees in thanks to God for answering my cry to Him to let me not go an entire week without seeing a conversion.

The man is in his 40s, living on the East Coast, with a wife and two young children, and he’s an AI engineer by trade. As I shared, be broke down and wept, received, rejoiced and proclaimed that he would follow through on the two assignments: (1) Daily Bible reading every morning for at least 15 minutes, starting in John, reading slowly and pensively, and (2) in a 13-week Bible study with a mentor that I am assigning, for study in “Growing in Christ.”

1 Samuel 1:27
For this boy I prayed, and the Lord has given me my petition which I asked of Him.

God bless,

Dr. James Tour
